This type of survey is the most frequently undertaken for residential homes. It is generally best suited to traditionally built properties that are less than 100 years old, with no suspected major defects suspected and no significant alterations or extensions.
The survey provides a clearly structured report featuring a detailed description and a condition rating for each part of the property. Depending on the property’s size and type, the inspection usually takes around two hours to complete. Its purpose is to identify any major issues and recommend appropriate actions. The report does not include a market valuation or an insurance reinstatement estimate.
After the survey has been completed, you will receive the electronic report approximately 5 working days later. After reading through the report and digesting all the information, it can be arranged for a follow up phone call if required.
This report provides a thorough and detailed assessment of the property’s construction and any associated defects. It is suitable for all types of properties but is especially valuable for larger buildings, those that have been extensively extended or altered, older properties, or those of unusual or non-traditional construction, including listed buildings.
This level of survey is aimed at larger or older properties, or where you are planning major works and renovations. This comprehensive report includes photographs and, where possible, highlights any defects identified during the survey.
A detailed drone survey is completed during this inspection, where weather conditions and location allow. Unlike other report types, a Building Survey offers a much higher level of detail and includes expert recommendations on how to address any identified issues. Where requested, we can also provide an estimated indication of potential repair costs.

Following our inspection, we provide a detailed survey report outlining the defect, its cause, and the recommended repair specifications. This report can then be provided to a builder of your choice, ensuring they have clear, accurate instructions for carrying out the remedial work effectively.
